[ tattoos ]

how do i prepare for my tattoo

In the days before your appointment, make sure you’re well rested, hydrated, and have eaten properly. Have a good meal a couple of hours prior to getting tattooed. Avoid alcohol as it can thin your blood and affect healing. Moisturise the area for about a week leading up to your session, and wear loose, dark clothing that that allows easy access to the placement area. We also provide complimentary sugary snacks and drinks.

cancellation policy and deposits

Deposits are required to secure your appointment and are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please contact your artist directly with appropriate notice to arrange a new date.

do you tattoo all skin colors/tones

Yes, everyone is welcome here. We happily tattoo all skin types and tones.

can i bring a plus one

You’re welcome to bring a friend or family member to your appointment; however, due to limited space, we may not always be able to accommodate additional guests during your session. Please confirm with your artist beforehand.

minimum age requirement

The studio operates strictly at an 18+ policy for all tattoos. No exceptions are permitted.

do you use vegan ink

Yes. All artists at Soteria Studios use vegan ink, and we make every effort to maintain eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

can you tattoo over scars

It depends on the scar and its stage of healing.

For advice, you can visit the studio for an in-person consultation or email clear photos (including body placement) to soteria.tattoo.studios@gmail.com, or contact your artist directly.

accessibility

We’re committed to creating a comfortable, inclusive environment for everyone. We offer sensory toys and private spaces to support clients with sensory sensitivities, neurodivergence, or disabilities. If you need a quieter environment, just let us know ahead of time - we’re happy to accommodate.

Our studio operates over two floors. The main studio space is fully accessible, however the bathroom is situated on the lower-ground floor and is only reachable via stairs. We encourage clients to consider this when planning their appointments. If you have accessibility needs or would like assistance, please let us know. Your comfort is our priority.

[ laser removals ]

how long will it take to remove my tattoo

Every tattoo lifts differently. The size, colours used, and tattooing method all influence how many sessions you’ll need. We’ll give you a personalised estimate and treatment plan at your consultation.

is the process painful

You may feel some slight discomfort, but most people find the process very manageable. We have the latest cooling technology to make your appointment as comfortable as possible We also encourage the application of EMLA numbing cream prior to your session.

what can i expect after a session

Mild redness or swelling is common after a session, but it fades quickly. We’ll provide detailed aftercare guidance to keep your skin healing smoothly.

how long is a laser session

Treatment time depends on the size of the tattoo. Small tattoos may take just a few minutes, while larger or more complex tattoos can take up to 30 minutes or longer.

when will i see results

Some fading is usually visible after the first session. Results continue to improve over time as your body clears the ink particles, with noticeable fading after each treatment.

are there any side effects/risks

Everybody is different but most side effects are rare, minor and temporary. All of the following side effects are possible with any form of laser tattoo removal.

  • Localised swelling and bruising: which will feel like a minor sunburn.

  • Blistering: this is part of the normal healing process and the skin will heal quickly, care must be taken not to pick or scratch the scab.

  • Infection: with all treatments, there is a small risk of infection but this is very small and minimised with good hygiene.

  • Scabbing: A scab can form over the treated area, it is important not to pick or scratch as this could impair healing.

  • Hypopigmentation/Hyperpigmentation: normal skin tone should return within 6-12 months. Very occasionally the pigmentation can be permanent or pigment will return in patches.

  • Allergic reaction: A possible allergic reaction to the tattoo dye as it is released into your system.
